We can also arrange specialist translators for our clients when the need arises. Many of our translators are Members of Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) with years of professional experience in the field. Same day FCO legalisation can also be arranged for clients who have urgent needs. Legalisation is the official confirmation that a signature, seal or stamp on a document is genuine. The Foreign Office attaches an apostille (the legal term for the legalisation certificate) to confirm that it is genuine. The Apostille is only issued once various checks have been completed to ensure the signature or seal on the document is from a recognised UK legal practitioner such as notary public.Once the Apostille Certificate has been issued to a UK document, it can then be used in foreign countries and will be accepted as a document containing legitimate legal signatures or seals. The Foreign Office will charge a fee for this service.
The notarial practice is covered by professional indemnity insurance and a Compensation Fund.
